About the Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 oz shiitake mushrooms (sliced)

  • 1 red bell pepper (sliced)

  • 1 onion (sliced)

  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)

  • 1 tbsp ginger (minced)

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional)

  • 1 tsp sugar

  • Cooked rice for serving

Preparation

  1. Heat sesame oil in a large pan or wok over medium heat.

  2. Add garlic and ginger, cooking for about 1 minute until fragrant.

  3. Add the onions and bell pepper, cooking until softened.

  4. Add the sliced shiitake mushrooms and cook for another 4-5 minutes until tender.

  5. Stir in soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sugar. Cook for another minute to combine all the flavors.

  6. Serve over a bed of rice.
